Rita F. Adams

Adams, Rita WettaRita Wetta Adams, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of New Orleans, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014.  She was born September 15, 1920 and was 94 years old.  Visitation will be at St. Joseph Academy where she was a student from 10:00am until Mass of Christian Burial in the chapel at 11:00am.  Survived by nieces and nephews; Jan Chauncey of Baton Rouge, Pam Worley of Roswell, New Mexico, Sara Langford, Andi Kirby and Tom Burns all of Texarkana, Texas; great niece and nephew, Rebecca Chauncey Wallace of the Woodlands, Texas and Kevin Chauncey of Baton Rouge and loyal friends; Jean Leon Deramee of Thibodaux and Carolyn and Jo Ellen Ourso of Baton Rouge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Thomas Adams; parents; Charles and Margaret Wetta and sisters; Mary Talbot and Rose Claire Wetta.  Thanks to all of Rita's special friends and to the wonderful staff at Ollie Steele Manor and St Joseph Hospice and the Carpenter House for their loving care.  In lieu of flowers donations to St. Joseph Hospice, the Baton Rouge Food Bank or St Joseph Academy would be greatly appreciated.
