RICHARD EUGENE COLLINS, SR., born January 28, 1946, in Rockville, Maryland, and was 78 years of age at this time of passing. On February 23, 2024, in Denham Springs, Louisiana at around the time of 3:00 PM, Richard Collins passed away peacefully in his sleep. He battled with Dementia for a decade before his passing. Richard spent majority of his life working as a land surveyor, and worked his way up the corporate ladder and became the Vice President and owner of Piburn & Odom. He was also an Ordained Minister through the Church of Christ and longtime member of South Baton Rouge Church of Christ, Goodwood Church of Christ, and Commite Church of Christ. Richard was a Harley Davison motorcycle enthusiast, lover of classic cars, die hard Washington Redskin football fan, love to travel, and being out in nature. Richard was a gifted musician, who often led singing at church, and played the guitar. He was a beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Richard Euguene Collins, Sr. is survived by this sisters Joan Collins Batson & Karen Collins, brother Gary Collins, Daughters Janay Collins Kimble, Kristie Collins Estave, Jennifer Collins, son Richard “Ricky” Collins, Jr., grandchildren Taylor, Eugene, & Chandler Estave, Jaiden, Jordan, & Joss Kimble, Melany Criel, Logan Bellot, Ethan Cockerham, & Emma “Jax” Collins, and great-grandchildren Onyx White, Jesse Estave, Anastasia & Asher Criel.
Richard Eugene Collins, Sr. was preceded in death by his mother & father Clyde & Leona Collins, beloved wife Pamela Tubbs Collins, his sisters Linda Collins & Shirley Collins Reece.
