Raymond L. Smith

Raymond, with his wife of sixty years, Estelle “Bootise” Smith established Aluminum Specialties Manufacturing Co. in 1964 which is still a thriving business today run by family. Raymond is preceded in death by his wife, Estelle “Bootise” Smith and parents, Tillman L. Smith and Jesse Duvall Smith. He is survived by two brothers, Martin James Smith and Michael Eugene Smith and two sisters Jewell Mimms and Evelyn Jones; three children, Deborah Ann Smith, Darrell Ray Smith, Sr., and Donna Smith Benefield and husband Robert E. Benefield Jr. He leaves behind eight grandchildren; Brandi Leigh O’Neal, Jimmy Wayne O’Neal, Jr. and wife Christy, Brandon Buhler and wife Cappy, Darrell Smith, Jr., Chris Buhler and wife Dana, Corey Buhler and wife Celeste, William “Cody” Smith and Raegan Benefield. He also leaves 14 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 4 from 5:00-9:00pm and will continue Thursday, April 5, from 10:00am until service at 12:00pm. Burial to follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
