Randy Morrison Monte

Randy Morrison Monte was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. We loved you in all of our todays and will miss you in all our tomorrows. A resident of Baton Rouge and Native of Leesburg FL, She passed Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at the Carpenter House. She was 69 and worked for the Clerk of Courts office for 17 years. Visiting will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 9:00am until service time of 12:00pm. She is preceded in death by her loving and devoted Husband, John Monte, who never left her side until his death. She is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Monte Hardin and husband Timothy, Baton Rouge, Missy Monte Simon and husband Stephen, Prairieville; a son, Heath Monte and wife Jill of Zachary; and seven grandchildren whom she loved, Taylor Hardin, Madison Monte, Reed Hardin, Anthony Simon, Kavan Monte, Stephen Simon and Rynn Monte. Preceded in death by her father, Jack Pape.; mother, Catherine Pape; and a brother, Paul Pape.

She spoke this poem to her husband 18 years ago and now she will follow to call his name. You're gone first and I remain, One thing I'll have you do, Walk slowly down the path of death, For soon I'll follow you. I want to know each step you take, That I may walk the same, For someday down that lonely road, You'll hear me call your name.
