Quy Trong Nguyen

Mr. Quy Trong Nguyen, age 93, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2023. He was born on March 27, 1931, in Ha Noi, Vietnam. He was married for 62 years to his longtime friend and love Tran Thi Khiet, who preceded his death in 2017. Quy loved and made many sacrifices for his family. He was a man of integrity and patience and had strong faith. He liked to fish and eat Louisiana crawfish, boiled crab, and seafood. He was a skilled mechanic who specialized in fixing motorcycles; In fact, he worked for a Harley-Davidson shop in Hawaii for over 26 years. His life was a living example of the special gift of life that God blesses us all with according to Proverbs 16:31 – “Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life." His life is also a reminder of the hope in God for eternal life to those who trust Him. Quy is survived by his two sisters in Vietnam; his three children Nguyen Hoang Khoi, Tram Spencer, and Nguyen Trong Vinh with five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. All of these he loved and touched deeply. He will be sadly missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts. Please join us in celebrating his life Saturday, August 26, 2023: Catholics ceremony 9:00 am – 9:30 am, Viewing 9:30 am – 10:30 am, and Baptist funeral service between 10:30 am – 11:30 am at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA. The family requests no flowers or donations.
