Pearl Matherne Ross

Pearl Matherne Ross, native of Pierre Part, La. and resident of Denham Springs passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the age of 88. She was a kind hearted soul who lived her life for others and will be truly missed by all who knew her. Pearl was a devout member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister who is survived by her daughters, Liz Rogers (Randy) of Denham Springs, Anne Shelton (Don) of Maurepas, Velma Shelton (Paul) of Greenback, TN., Nealy Morain (Dennis) of Central, and Sherry Shelton of Denham Springs; sisters, Vernice Theriot, Melva Simoneaux, and Ruth Daigle; 11 grandchildren; Todd Ross, Tanya Williams, Jennifer Scobee, Byron Shelton, Michael Shelton, Jason Shelton, Joshua Shelton, Miranda Unbehagen, Kaleb Morain, and Rachel Chaney; and 25 great grandchildren, Brett, LeAnne Hunter, Blake Hayden, Logan, and Joseph Ross, Emmett Dunaway, Winter and Summer Barker, Courtney, Victoria, and Amos Scobee, Bryce, Braxton, Wyatt, and Walker Shelton, Kaden and Samuel Unbehagen, Gavin and Gabriel Morian, Braydon Chaney, and Shelby Rabalais. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Emmett Ross; parents, Paul and Christine Matherne; brothers, Percy, Leroy, and Lloyd Matherne; sisters, May Rogacki, Audrey Hedges, Virginia Matherne, and Jane Clement; granddaughter, Jackie Addison; and great grandchildren, Mercedes Williams and Issac Dunaway. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 5PM until 9PM with the rosary beginning at 7PM. Visitation will resume at 9AM on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs with Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:30am. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be the grandsons: Todd Ross, Byron, Michael, Jason & Joshua Shelton, and Kaleb Morain.
