Patrick R. Pickens

Patrick R. Pickens passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 7, 2016. Pat was a graduate of Baton Rouge High School and LSU. Pat was a Civil Engineer (P.E.). His long working career was in Baton Rouge working for several State agencies. His longest tenure was spent as Facility Manager as the legislator representative for the Louisiana State Capital. The Capital was the love of his life overseeing so many projects and always striving to maintain the historical integrity. He loved his state. Pat was survived by his wife Nancy “Jeanie” Pickens; son Robert L. Pickens and wife Toby of Lockhart, Texas; daughter Robyn E. Pickens Richmond and husband Dave of Cape Town, South Africa; grandchildren Lucien, Keira, Rebecca, Grace, David, and Darren; brothers James S. O’Neill, Jr. of Lafayette, Louisiana and Clyde B. O’Neill of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, father Zedrick R. Pickens and mother Edwyne B. Pickens and brother Frank R. O’Neill of Pensacola, Florida. Visitiation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 12:00pm at 2:00pm. Arrangements entrusted to Greenoaks Funeral Home.
