Pat was born in Clinton, LA, raised in Baton Rouge, LA, lived many years in New Orleans, and passed away in Baton Rouge. He was a graduate of Broadmoor High School in Baton Rouge and attended Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA, majoring in art. As a talented singer, songwriter, and bassist, Pat has been in multiple bands, most notably as a founding and lifelong member of the long standing Copas Brothers. He is preceded in death by his father, Egan DeCuir; mother, Linnie Lee DeCuir Jordan; and sister, Dolores DeCuir Henderson. He is survived by his brother, Michael DeCuir; sons, Eric Joseph and Austin Egan DeCuir; (ex) wife, Sue DeCuir Ryburn; nieces, Holly Henderson Hebert, Cristy DeCuir Davidson, Dana Neyland Bankston; and many other nieces, nephews and family members. Pat will be remembered for his love of music, his love for his family and friends, his sense of humor, and his gentle spirit. We love you, Pat.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 20th, at 3 pm until Celebration of Life at 4, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East (11000 Florida Blvd). We welcome all to speak and share a memory.
