Noelie Marie Kelley Millet, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at the age of 78. She was born in Bayonne, New Jersey on July 26, 1944. She moved with her family to Louisiana at the age of seven, becoming a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge. Noelie attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and graduated from Baton Rouge High. For many years, she was the bookkeeper for her husband and her two son’s businesses, while still maintaining a home for her family. Those that had the opportunity to meet her, would immediately sense her sweet, warm and loving demeanor. She was very humble, kind and genuine, always putting others before herself. Noelie enjoyed fishing, gardening, and always looked forward to the annual beach trips with family. She loved animals, particularly her dog, MiMi, and baking for the holidays. Above all, she truly cherished just being together with her family, especially the pure joy of time spent with her grandsons. Noelie is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 60 years, Lonnie Millet; sons, Brett and wife, Victoria, and Todd and girlfriend, Rhonda; grandsons, Collin Millet and Jake Millet; sister, Pat Kelley; and a host of other family members. She also leaves behind a special friend, Peggy Tucker, who took her under her wing and helped her adapt when she moved here from New Jersey. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lemuel and Marie Kelley; and sister, Myra Lowery. Visitation will be a St. George Catholic Church, 7808 St. George Dr., Baton Rouge, LA, on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 9:30am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Noelie’s caretaker, Julia Morgan, for all of her assistance and time given to the family over the last year, and all of the staff members of Compassus Hospice and Clarity Hospice.
