Nancy Chuites Shaffer

Nancy Chuites Shaffer, native of Oxford, NC and resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the age of 72. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, and sister who cherished her family and valued her pets, Nancy enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and reading.

She is survived by her daughters, Amy S. Meche and husband, Dean and Audrey C. Shaffer and husband Jerry Lange; grandchildren, Dean E. Meche, Jr., Jessica Riley, Fallon E. Shaffer, Joshua M. Lange, Jake A. Meche, Jordan A. Lange, Carly R. Meche, Judy A. Lange, Roman C. Lange, and Noah J. Lange; great grandchildren, Aurbry Johnson, K.J. Johnson, Dean E. Meche III, and Aiden R. Meche; mother, Margaret Chuites; sisters, Wanda Whipple, Donna Thames, and Pat Peterson and husband Mark; and brother, Kenneth Chuites and wife Charlotte. She is preceded in death by her husband, J. Autry Shaffer and father, Harry Chuites. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Saturday, 20, 2016 beginning at 9AM until funeral service beginning at 12pm.
