Nancy H. Melancon, a native of Jackson, TN and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Sunday December 6, 2015 at The Crossing at the age of 85. She was a retired secretary with Gulf States Utilities Company.
She was preceded in death by her parents, W. Haskew and Bessie O’Neil Haskew; husband Julien C. Melancon, Jr.; a son, Gerald A. Bowman; a brother, R.W. Haskew; two sisters Marge Ryan and Marie Haskew.
Those left to cherish her memories are her son Edward Q. Bowman, III and his wife Lynn of Baton Rouge; two grandsons Trent Q. Bowman of Baton Rouge and Travis E. Bowman of Houston, TX; a sister Harriet Wilson of Baton Rouge.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Tuesday December 8, 2015 from 5pm-8pm. Visitation will resume on Wednesday Decemeber 9, 2015 from 12pm until funeral service at 2pm. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
