After graduating from Bossier City High School, he went on to attend LSU Dental School in New Orleans, where he graduated in 1976. His passion for dentistry continued for over 45 years. With his wife by his side, he devoted his life to his patients and his dental practice, in Greensburg, Louisiana. Myron was a member of St Aloysius Catholic Church in Baton Rouge.
While in dental school, Myron met his loving wife, Lisa, whom he married in 1977 and moved to Osyka, Mississippi. He went on to have five children, Clark, Claire, Patrick, Gregory and Gabriel. Myron was a dedicated and loving husband and father.
Myron is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lisa, whom he loved with all his heart, his children, whom he raised with unconditional love and support, Claire Alston (Matthew), Patrick Culberson (Lisa), Gregory Culberson (Abegail), Gabriel Culberson, one sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Jimmy Eddy, one brother, Gary Atwood, one sister-in-law, Susan Culberson, 3 brothers-in-law, Carl LaPlace, Jr. (Bronwyn), Steve LaPlace, Tim LaPlace (Debbie), 2 sisters-in-law, Suzanne Landry (Bobby), Melanie Spedale (Darian) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lovingly known as Papa, Myron adored his twelve grandchildren, Olivia, Drae, Sophia, Paul, Mark, Abel, Adam, Emily, Andrew, Dolly, Ruth, Ellison and was anxiously awaiting his thirteenth grandchild, Martin Dale. Myron loved his family and never missed an opportunity to spend time with them.
Myron is preceded in death by his son, Clark Culberson, father, Stanley Culberson, mother, Vivian Atwood, stepmother, Doris Culberson, his loving grandmother, Frances (Doll), great grandmother, Elizabeth, brothers, Keith Culberson and Richard McClure, sister, JoAnn Yother, mother-in-law Dolores LaPlace, father-in-law Carl LaPlace, Sr., sister-in-law Genie LaPlace, nephews Jared LaPlace, Wayne Culberson, Brandon Holley.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 9:30 am until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St Gabriel Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery, with reception to follow in the Church Hall.
