Milton "Tiger" Orville Holt III

With a heavy heart we announce, Milton O. Holt, III lovingly known as “Tiger”, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2024 after a hard battle with cancer at the age of 50. Tiger leaves behind to cherish his memory, his adoring wife of 24 years Amy, daughter(s) Ciara Holt, sons Jase and Tristan (Paige), his soon to be granddaughter Monroe, that he was so excited to be a Papa to, loving parents: Milton (Bobby) O. Holt Jr., Cindy Holt, brother: Adam (Ashley) Holt, nephew Rabb, and niece Allena, along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, mentees, and children he has had a hand in raising. Tiger was preceded in death by his fraternal grandparents Dr. Milton Holt and Willie Mae Rabb Holt, and his maternal grandparents Troy and Sybil Adams. Tiger grew up in Central, Louisiana and started his family there in 1999. Before meeting his wife, Amy, Tiger assisted his mother, Cindy in beating breast cancer and supported her every step of the way. Tiger’s love for his family was unwavering and knew no bounds. He supported his children in anything they set their hearts to, whether that was years of baseball, 3 weeks of gymnastics or 10 years of shooting sports. Tiger was generous, determined, and radiated with the most encouraging energy. He was heavily involved in shooting sports and even spent time as a shooting coach for kids at EBR’s 4H Club. In his spare time, he liked taking others hunting, fishing and spent many weekends with his father, Bobby and other friends/family members in the outdoors.

Tiger was one of a kind; truly. He never met a stranger a day in his 50 years on this earth and could make anyone laugh. Tiger’s favorite person to laugh with was his wife and best friend, Amy. He put a smile on her face for 25 years; she was the love of his life. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion, love that will last beyond us, and friendships that will be cherished forever. May Tiger’s memory be a reminder to us all to stay true to ourselves and love thy neighbor as he did. In celebration of Tiger’s life, a memorial will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 10:30 am until service at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, Tiger and the family have requested donations in the name of their late friend, Dustin Parnell, to the EBR 4H Shooting Sports Club which aligns with Tiger’s passion for helping others (EBR 4-H Foundation, 1847 Beaumont Drive, BR LA 70896).
