Mildred Dugas Ellis, wife of Deacon Albert Ellis, left this world to be with the angels on Saturday, April 20, 2013. She was a resident and native of Baton Rouge, La. Mildred was a retired nurse with Our Lady of the Lake Hospital for 25 years. She was an active parishioner at St. George Catholic Church, a member of the Ladies Altar Society, and Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Deacon Albert Ellis. She is also survived by her five children, Jan Ellis, Joni Luce, Robby Ellis, Andrew Ellis, and Michael Ellis and seven grandchildren, Derek and Taylor Luce, Drew, Lindsey and Lauren Ellis, Madelynn and Grant Ellis. Also survived by two sisters, Marie Louise Dupre' and May Daigle. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Joseph's Hospice The Carpenter's House for the special care and support for her while she was there. Visitation will be held at St. George Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 from 9:30am - 12:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated by the Reverend Mike Schatzle, will start at 12:00pm, with Burial to follow at St. George Catholic Church Cemetery.
