Michael “Mikey” Paul Pizzolato, Jr., a native of Baton Rouge, LA and a resident of Central, LA, found peace and comfort in the arms of the Lord on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at the age of 37. If you asked people who knew Mikey, they would say the qualities that best described him were his sense of humor, compassionate heart that would help anyone, always a child at heart, an avid reader, and most important was his spirituality that always sought God. Mikey is survived by his parents, Michael Paul Pizzolato, Sr. and Pamela Thibodeaux Carter; step-parents, Stephanie Langley Pizzolato and Jean C. Carter, Jr.; maternal grandfather, Velton Thibodeaux; siblings, Jennifer Pizzolato Blocker and husband, Trey, Dane Pizzolato and friend, Amanda Grant, Jayde Pizzolato and friend, Brett Brooks, Heidi Andre and husband, Trevor, Casey Guillot and wife, Kimberly, Jake Carter and friend, Janet Scrafford, Frances Carter and husband, Elihue Abrams; nieces and nephews, Damon, Brandon, Kenlee, and Ellee Blocker, Gavyn, Sophie, and Tanner Andre, Lincoln and Hayes Guillot, Precious Anderson, and Saniya Abrams; his special little buddy, Maddox Farris; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Tony and Mary Lee Pizzolato; maternal grandmother, Anna Doris Thibodeaux; and cousin, Joey Pizzolato. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m. conducted by Fr. Jeff Bayhi. Pallbearers will be Trey Blocker, Blaine Pizzolato, Dane Pizzolato, Casey Guillot, Tim Thibodeaux, Don Tate, and Trevor Andre. Honorary Pallbearers will be his nephews, Damon and Brandon Blocker. Interment will follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park. Found at Mikey’s bed at the time of death was the book “Jesus Calling”, opened to the following passage, “Begin each day asking Me to equip you for whatever difficulties you will encounter and always remember that it is My hand that never let’s go of yours.” John 16:33; Isaiah 41:13; Philippians 4:13
