Maureen Bridget Andrews

Maureen Bridget Andrews, 68, passed away peacefully at Baton Rouge General Hospital on April 15, 2021, surrounded by family. Maureen was born in Opelousas, Louisiana, on July 27, 1953, and resided in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at the time of her death. Maureen never met a stranger, she was a mother to many and friend to all. She found great joy in gift giving and always knew how to celebrate the ones she loved. A devoted Christian, Maureen spent several years as the Youth Group leader at the Northwood United Methodist Church in Lafayette, Louisiana. She was also a Certified Nursing Assistant and was known for her compassionate spirit and motherly warmth. Maureen was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Hayes Andrews Mayne, and father, Charles Andrews. She is survived by her husband, Anthony Butts, her children, Brian Carroll & wife Tricia, Melanie Shammout & husband Julien, her four grandchildren, Matthew, Allison, & Austin Carroll and Caitlin Shammout, and her three siblings Chris Andrews & wife Susanne, Kathleen Andrews Hunt & husband Bill, and Timothy Andrews & wife Kaye. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
