His initially shy demeanor quickly gave way to reveal a kind, intelligent person whose company was easy to enjoy. Matt’s laugh was particularly memorable both for its obvious sincerity as well as the way in which his eyes would sparkle with amusement. With each interaction, our perception of Matt’s genuinely good nature was reinforced. Thus, it is with sad and heavy hearts that we learned of his passing.
