Mary Louise West was born on December 1, 1950, in Call, TX, and passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the age of 74. She was a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Firecracker is the term that describes her best. Whether fishing off the pier at False River or making homemade mayhaw jelly, her intensity and quick whit stole the show!! A true Baton Rouge blue eyed beauty who never met a stranger and never passed on a frozen Margarita with extra salt!! She will be forever in our hearts and colorful memories. Mary is survived by her children, Teri Forrest and husband, Jay, and Rhett Miller and wife, Tera; grandchildren, Beau Forrest (Taylor), Jared Forrest, Ava Forrest, Jordan Carelock (Herrin), and Shelby Miller; great-grandchildren, Alden and Sutton Forrest, and two more on the way; and a host of other family members. She is preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Louise West; and sister, Carolyn Turnwald. A graveside service will be at Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 10am.
