Mary Nickell Clark, 81, was a resident of Alexandria and a native of Kentucky. She passed away Friday, Dec. 2, 2011, at her daughter's home in Duson, while surrounded by her family. Mary was devoted to her family and loved to be around children. She also loved to crochet. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Monday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. until service at noon in the chapel. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Jeff and Kim Clark, of Alexandria, Rose and Jim Wright, of Duson, Glenn and Karen Bordes, of Chalmette, and Mary and Herbert Hunt, of Ponchatoula and one sister Anna Lorinne Angelle. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Deborah Anderson and husband Brian, Wyndell Hunt, Chad Bordes, Dawn LaGrange and husband Jarred, Brad Wright, Katie Warner and husband Craig, Austin Clark and Zachary Clark; great-grandchildren, Erika Hemphill and husband Garland, Corey Anderson, Lana LaGrange and Parker Bordes; and a great-great-grandchild, Kipten Hemphill. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A Clark; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cortis Perry Nickell; and siblings, Carl, Alberta, Delbert, Delma, CC, Chester and Jimmy Nickell.
