Mary Riviere Morris passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014. She was born March 21, 1926, in Bunkie, Louisiana. She was the daughter of Henry E. Hausey of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Martha Riviere Sewell Hausey of Myrtle Springs, Texas. She was preceded in death by James W. Morris, her beloved husband of 57 years; and she is survived by three sons and their wives, William H. and Faye Z. Morris, Michael W. and Donna D. Morris, and Timothy E. and Marina D. Morris; along with grandchildren, James Morris, Sarah Escobar and husband Juan, Dr. Michael Morris and wife Dr. Rachel Morris, Ryan Morris and wife Katie, Kendall Morris, Timothy Morris, Matthew Morris, Emily Morris, Allison Morris, Nicholas Degueyter and wife Wendy, Krystal Degenhardt and husband Andrew. She was an employee with the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals and the Department of Education. She served as a supervisor of statistics in both departments. She was also an officer of both the National and Louisiana chapters of the Society of Colonial Dames and Daughters of the American Revolution. Visitation will be Friday, November 28, 2014 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East 11000, Florida Blvd. starting at 10:00am until services in the funeral home chapel at 12:00pm.
