Mary Katherin Arvello Miller

After a strong-willed and bold battle with cancer, the Lord reached for our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and brought her home. Mary Arvello Gollahon Miller, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2017. In the words of her great grandchild, “Her batteries ran out.” She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, David Earl Miller and her first husband, Gene R Gollahon, Sr. who passed away in the Vietnam War. She was also preceded in death by her parents Brazil and Lena Tamborella Arvello; siblings: Sam Arvello, JR Arvello, Paul Arvello, Shorty Arvello, and Lawrence Arvello and sister and brother in law Linda Miller and Jim Kinnison. She is survived by Lori Gollahon Allen and husband Ray, Gene R Gollahon, Jr. and wife Lora, Theresa Miller Griffin and husband Chris, grandchildren: Crista Stokes Wynne and husband Christopher, Gene “Skip” Gollahon III, David Joseph “DJ” Gollahon and wife Madison, Caitlin Elizabeth Griffin and Alaina Danielle Griffin; great grandchildren: Kennedy Elizabeth Gollahon, Makayla Allen, Cohen Joseph Wynne, and Cooper Earl Wynne; step-grandchildren: Shayla, Taylor, and Derek Allen; sisters: Carrie Arvello Castrogiovanni and husband Jack, and Lena Letellier; sisters-in-law Daisy Arvello and Ruth Nell Kinnison; brothers-in-law: Walden Miller and wife Anelia, and Randall Miller; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 5pm until 9pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 9am until services at 12pm. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Condolences may be left for the family by visiting www.greenoaksfuneralhome.com.
