Nee, Vanlandingham. A native of Louisville, MS and resident of Baton Rouge passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at the age of 91. She was a member of St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church and an active member of the Ladies Altar Rosary Society. Her greatest joys were gardening, flowers, and oil or acrylic painting She is survived by her son, Alton Matherne, Jr, his wife, Daphne A. Matherne; and nieces, Sandra Clark, Linda Monahan, and Carolyn Rogers. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alton Matherne, Sr. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home 9595 Florida Blvd. on Thursday, April 17, 2014, from 5 PM until 8 PM and will resume on Friday, April 18, 2014, from 8 AM until funeral service at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
