I am   grateful  for a mother that loved and trusted Jesus Christ . She shared her faith with us  and her dependency on the Lord increased with each day.  Eternal thanks for all the many friends and family that offered prayers, love and care to our family through out all our years.  Life was challenging after dad left our family, but mom never gave up.  
 She cherished her time with family and enjoyed any get together with family or those famous trips when she and her sisters would get away.  Her high school buddies from St. John class of 1952, still got together for birthday lunches!  Her grandchildren and Great grandchildren brought her much joy! Some of my favorite memories will be her delicious cooking.  her ironing, the joy she experience when she would  get ready for a trip,  shopping for great deals, the joy of giving presents to others, and her sitting  close to spiritual leaders so she would not miss God's  Word .  Her favorite song was Majesty. It brought her joy to  Worship His Majesty.  May all honor, glory and praise be offered to our Lord. 



Two memories stand out in my mind when I think of Maw Maw Janice. She would sing the Chiquita banana song often when I was a child. Secondly, during my college years I would often go to her apartment to visit while on break between classes. She always prepared a meal or snack, and we would talk and watch game shows or the news. She was a gracious host and we both enjoyed the break from our regular duties.

This picture of us  at Kathy and Anthony’s wedding  is a sweet reminder of how long we were blessed to have you in our lives.
We were so happy we were able to visit this past December and see you looking so well.
We’ll always remember you with love and hope you are enjoying visiting with all
you love who have gone to heaven before you.

Ms. Janice was always so kind to me. When my parents first separated she and I talked about divorce. It wasn’t something I had ever really dealt with in my family. She made me feel a sense of peace about what was happening and I appreciate that she took the time to talk to me. 
At any family get together, she would always ask me how my life was going and what I had been up to. In those moments she made me feel like my own grandmother was listening to me and checking in. I am grateful to have been a part of her life and she a part of mine. 

I met Maw Maw Janice sometime after my son Clinton met his wife Melissa in 2003. Over the years she always made me feel she was truly interested in me. We shared that we both had worked in banking. Later when  my marriage ended, we shared my sorrow as she had experienced that many years ago when her girls were young. She cheered me on and was delighted when I found a man of God that wanted to make me his wife.  She was present at  our wedding last year.  My husband was at my side for her celebration services and I believe this would have pleased her. 

Today I cried with tears of joy having shared this family  in their younger days. Oh Kathy I'm so glad you told me I could look at the CD. They didn't use to do that. How beautiful a memory! I haven't seen a pic of Virgie in years. And sassy Sandra, gone way too soon with a personality bigger than herself. I can almost still hear her voice too. I did not realize how much Lynette looked like Janice until I seen Janice's high school pic. They always said you looked like Chester & Lynette looked  like Janice . Funny when we look at our mini me's. How fortunate to have a mom, grandma & great grandma for so many years. I'm thankful I was a little piece in the puzzle of your lives. ❤ to you all.

I only met you once, but I know that you must have been a wonderful person because you raised such a wonderful, caring daughter- Katherine Campo.  I pray your family finds comfort in memories of the good times you had together. 

Our condolences to the family. Aunt Janice was so very very sweet and had a great sense of humor. She will be truly missed. Sending love and healing to all.

In the Bible St. Paul says, "To be absent from the body is to be present with God". I am sure my precious friend, Janice, walked through the pearly gates and is now praising God and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She and I have been pen pals for almost twenty years, ever since my J and I moved to Texas to be near our children. Mary Janice Hebert  sat behind me in high school at  beloved St. John. I would say something and she would say, "Janelle Clark said such and such." Then she would write it down. A year or so ago Janice and her two darling girls stopped in for a surprise visit. I was beyond happy to see them and visit for a while. What a blessing. God Bless you Lynnette and Cathy and all the family. God make His Face to shine upon you and give you Peace.

Janice & her children were our neighbors from when I was I was in elementary & my moms friend and mine. For many years even after I graduated I would stop by and see Janice & have coffee. I loved my conversations with her.  I kept in touch with her for years & lost touch in the last several years. Kathy found me on FB & they called  a few months ago & I got to talk with them. What a sweet moment to hear that voice I knew so well.  She struggled raising her girls for years & never complained. Funny how we remember those little things, I loved she always had earring & necklaces to match her clothes for work.  I loved her straight forward personality & had so many good conversations over coffee. You will be missed. While it is so hard to lose people we love, I know theres no more sickness or pain with Jesus where I know you are now. Love ya and see ya again one day, Evelyn
