Mary Marie Koenig

Mary Marie Koenig passed away on November 24, 2021, at the age of 78. Mary was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Baton Rouge Orchid Society. She loved collecting and hunting for rocks and minerals. She was an independent woman with an entrepreneurial spirit, who owned her owned jewelry store with her late husband, Wesley, which was lovingly named Wes-Mar Fine Jewelry, after the both of them. They both loved travelling the world together and with their family which they gracefully shared. You would often find her in her beautiful gardens she landscaped herself or cooking in the kitchen to entertain for her friends and family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren, of whom she was so proud and would tell anyone who asked or didn’t ask. She was a beautiful person who gave selflessly of herself and loved unconditionally. Her legacy of love will live on in her friends and family. Mary is survived by her daughter, Kimberley Randazzo and husband, Joey; son, Kenneth Fulmer and wife, Jan; step-son, Mark Koenig; step-daughters, Laurie Ormsby and husband, Larry, and Linda Frost and husband, David; grandchildren, Gabrielle-Jordan, Caroline-John, Alexandra-Nick, Tyler, Justin-Kelly, Dillon, Kyle, Kristen-Lucas, Chelli-Tom, and Cari-Chad; ten great-grandchildren; brothers, Roy, Jessie and Julius Petersen; and sister-in-law, Arlene Petersen. Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wesley Koenig; step-son, Michael Koenig; parents, Jens and Pearlie Petersen; sisters, Katie Petersen and Margaret Petersen Arnold; brother, Edward Petersen; and sisters-in-law, Gayla and Shirley Petersen.

Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, from 4pm to 8pm. A memorial service will be held at Greenoaks on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 2pm, officiated by Pastor Steve Lanik of Trinity Lutheran Church.
