passed away peacefully at Nottingham Rehabilitation Center surrounded by family on January
12, 2018 at the age of 90. Daughter of the late Lucille Labruzza and Frank Cascio, Casey was
raised in Independence, La. and moved to Baton Rouge with her beloved husband Dominick
John Ferrara (d. May 1984). She was predeceased by her husband Dominick, son Raymond
John Ferrara (d.January 1978), sister Sarah Labat and brother John Cascio. Casey is survived
by her two sons, Michael David (Mick) and Gregory Francis Ferrara, MD; and two grandsons,
Bradley Raymond and Cory Scott Ferrara. Casey graduated from Independence High and
earned a BS in Nursing from Hotel Dieu in New Orleans. During her career, Casey was a nurse
at OLOL Hospital, head nurse at Baton Rouge General Recovery Room for 30 years and later
the postpartum unit at Womans Hospital. The family would like to thank Hospice in His Care
and Deacon Mike Chipetta for their compassionate care and guidance.
