Martha Rush

Martha Rush, native of Kelayres, PA and longtime resident of Fort Worth, TX, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2015 at her residence while in hospice care. She celebrated her 91st birthday on February 4th. Martha is survived by her daughter, Patty Lemoine; son, Stephen Platt and wife Pat; grandchildren, Lisa Lemoine Wilkinson and husband Will, Russell Blaine Lemoine, Christian Platt, Colin Platt, and Heather Platt; 7 great grandchildren; nephew, David Rŏsh; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and 11 brothers and sisters. Martha was a noted benefactor of Subiaco Academy and Abbey in Subiaco, Arkansas. She was very close to the priests at Subiaco, and enjoyed her work in the library, which is named the Martha Rush Library. Martha traveled the world and would accompany the Benedictine Monks on some of their missions in South America. A private family service will take place at Subiaco Abbey, where she will be placed in the columbarium.
