Marjorie Gibson Sharp

Marjorie Gibson Sharp passed away July 31, 2015 at the Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, LA after a lengthy illness. She was 88 years old and a longtime resident of Alexandria, LA before moving to Baton Rouge. She was married to Jack M. Sharp who preceded her in death. She is survived by son John Sharp, daughter-in-law Pam & grandchildren Haleigh, Taylor and Carson of Walker, son Scott Sharp of Baton Rouge, sister Wana Ann Gibson Fort, M.D., of Baton Rouge, sister Jane Gibson Noonan of Tampa, FL; sister Olive Claire "Polly" Gibson Hamilton and husband Donald Hamilton of Tulsa, OK, sister Evelyn Gibson McDonald and husband Wayne McDonald, M.D., of Greenville SC; and sister Rose Gibson Ellzey of Baton Rouge, LA. She is preceded in death by parents David Wana Gibson and Olive Izetta Gibson of Harrisonburg, LA; and sister Ora Leeland Gibson Mills of Baton Rouge, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015 at GreenOaks Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until Memorial Service at 2 p.m. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Carpenter House Hospice Facility in Baton Rouge.
