"Marion Ann Folse Ricard passed away peacefully on June 5, 2017 at the age of 90 surrounded by her family. Born in Convent, Louisiana on March 29, 1927, she was a longtime native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and a resident of Houston, Texas. Marion was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, and will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 70 years Hubert A. Ricard, Sr. of Houston, Texas, eight children, Hubert Jr. and Dennis Ricard of Houston, Texas, Deborah (Victor) Patin of Austin, Texas, Jeanne (Kenneth) Patin of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Suzanne (Robert) Wise of Cullowhee, North Carolina, Milissa Rozier of Cypress, Texas, Roberta (Joseph K) Darensbourg of Houston, Texas, and Carmel (Henry, Jr.) Domingue of Fredericksburg, Virginia, one brother, Joseph Folse of Baton Rouge, 23 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Preceded in death by her parents Numa and Josephine Folse, Sr., father and mother-in-law Gilbert and Lydia Ricard, Sr., brothers Numa Jr., Roland and Milton Folse, and sister Marie Folse. A woman of deep Christian faith and a longtime member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Baton Rouge. She served as a member of the Rosary Group, The Legion of Mary, The Third Order of Mary, Our Lady of Shoenstat Shrine Pilgrimage Group, and of two social clubs, The Gay Bells and Pals of Pokeno. Marion's visitation will be Monday at 10:00 am with the praying of a rosary at 10:30 am followed by the Mass of a Christian Burial celebrated by Reverend Msgr. Robert Berggreen at 11:00 am at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Interment will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and the Breast Cancer Foundation.
