I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; Marie N. Gomez, a loving mother, grandmother, and dear friend passed away on February 14, 2015 at the age of 86. She was a resident of Baton Rouge and was retired from Louisiana State Department of Motor Vehicles. She is survived by her son, William E. Wood III; daughter-in-law, Betty R. Wood; Step daughters, Sheryl Teed, Sharon Haney and Bridgett Day; step son, Keith Gomez; granddaughter, Kimberly Wood; cherished longtime friend, Jackie Mcfee, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her spouses, Walter Gomez and William E. Wood, Jr.; son, Terry Glynn Wood; parents; sisters, Jeannette Blanchard; and brother, Charles Norstum. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Sunday, February 15, 2015 from 5PM-9PM and will resume on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 12PM until funeral service at 2PM.
