A native of Clinton, she was born on Jan. 10, 1918, and died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2008, at Ochsner Medical Center-Baton Rouge. She was 90 and a resident of Baton Rouge since 1934. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, July 1, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until religious service at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Ron Lambe. Interment at Roselawn Memorial Park. Margie is survived by her daughter, Karen Guillory and husband Rickey, of St. Amant; sister, Corinne Williams, of Baton Rouge; three step-grandchildren of Miami; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, W.B. "Benny" Brown; parents, Felix and Elizabeth Jordan Doughty; four sisters; three brothers; and a step-daughter, Marion Schoendorf. She enjoyed reading, especially magazines and news from Istrouma Baptist Church, where she was a member for 62 years. Pallbearers will be Carroll Jordan, Fred Bunch, J. O. "Duck" Greer, Warren Huggins and Mike Chaisson. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Ferris Jordan and two very dear friends, Doris Watson and Helen B. Fairchild.
