She was born April 9, 1930 in Rayne LA, the daughter of Clinton Joseph Petitjean, Sr. and Hilda Francis Arceneaux Petitjean.
She was born and raised in Rayne, LA, and graduated from St. Joseph High School in Rayne LA, as valedictorian of her class.
After graduating from high school, she worked at Mervine Kahn’s, and City Hall in Rayne, LA. She married Russel Stone Bellue, Sr. of Baton Rouge, LA in 1955. After moving to Baton Rouge, she worked at several finance companies, and then as Bookkeeper for Ogden Perry Theatres. After retiring, she owned and operated Unique Treasures and enjoyed collecting Beanie Babies, Boyd Bears and Fenton Glass.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son Lee Judson Bellue II, sisters Jeanette Stokley of Crowley and Claudia Peltier of Rayne, brother Clinton Joseph Petitjean, Jr. of New Iberia, LA.
She is survived by her four children, Mrytie Clair Bellue Drouet (Cliff) of Cullman AL, Russel Stone Bellue, Jr (Karen) of Lake Charles, LA, Marcella Francis Bellue Mullins (William) of Roxie, MS, Rebecca “Becky” Ellen Bellue of Walker LA, two brothers, John Allen Petitjean and Donald Petitjean both of Rayne LA. 13 Grandchildren, Clifford Drouet, Ellen Buckner, Victoria Pratt, Clair Kakuska, Margaret Drouet, Grace Drouet, Rusti Bellue, Joseph Bellue, Page Mullins, Carolyn Mullins, Lane Bellue, Logan Maurello, Devin Maurello, 10 Great Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed traveling, stamp collecting, crocheting, needlepoint, jigsaw puzzles, and watching sports on TV, and especially her LSU Tigers! A favorite trip was when she traveled to Omaha, Nebraska in 2009 to watch the LSU Tigers win the NCAA College World Series. She also loved traveling up the New England coast and into Canada, and made several memorable trips to Alaska always proud to say she drove the whole way there and back, and she knew the interstates and highways like the back of her hand.
Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, on Thursday, July, 20, 2023 from 11:00am until funeral service time of 2:00pm. Interment to follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
