Manual P. McCoy, 93 years old, passed away in Baton Rouge on April 11, 2022. He was born January 4, 1929, in Slidell, Louisiana. Manual was a veteran of the U.S. Army who proudly served his country in the Korean War. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Manual was a hard-working man providing for his family. He was a port engineer for Scott Chotin Trans and worked on the river since 1947. He retired from Kirby Industries. He was also a member of St. Louis King of France Catholic Church for many years. Manual was predeceased by his parents, 15 siblings, and his beloved son, Bryan. He is survived by his wife, Kate Badon McCoy; two sons, Steven McCoy and Kevin McCoy and his wife Lisa; four grandchildren, Bryan and his wife Heather, Bryson, Kellie and her husband Jason Guy, and Paul and his wife Kareena. He also leaves three great-grandchildren, Parker, Nicholas and Jordan. Manual is also survived by his sister, Ruth, and brothers, Fred, John, and Fritz. Manual will be cremated and laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
