Louis "Sonny" Ray. Gregoire

Louis Ray “Sonny” Gregoire, 82, of Central, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jacqueline Spradley Gregoire, son Kenneth Ray Gregoire and spouse Angela, son Keith Randall Gregoire and spouse Roxane, daughter Kelly Gregoire Partin and husband James, and his seven grandchildren, Adam Gregoire (Kayla), Sarah Salpietra (Kyle), Mallory Myers (Ryan), Brooke Planche (Cody), Makenna Gregoire, Devin Partin (Kendall), and Garrett Partin (Madison), and his six great-grandchildren, Sutton, Vinci, Bauer, Cullen, Cooper, and baby Eli (arriving soon). He was the owner of Sonny’s Auto Repair in Baker for 32 years where he enjoyed giving the best personal service to all his customers. When he retired, his hobby and passion of building race cars turned into the development of his, second business, Pro-Fab for the next 30 years. He started drag racing in the early 1960’s, and then took time away to support Kenny and Keith during their years of motorcycle racing. In the early 1990’s, he returned to enjoy many more years of drag racing with his family and friends. He spent most of his life loving and spoiling his precious wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Thanks to the entire staff at Hospice of Baton Rouge for the excellent care given to him. A very special thanks to Mrs. Dale Cheney for the countless hours, loving support, and exceptional care that she provided to our entire family. Her God given gift was well received by all of us.

Pallbearers will be, Kenneth Gregoire, Keith Gregoire, James Partin, Adam Gregoire, Devin Partin and Garrett Partin. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Valmond Brown, Phillip Freeman and Wayne Browning.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Baton Rouge.

Visitation will take place at Zoar Baptist Church, 11848 Hooper Rd., Baton Rouge, LA., on Tuesday, December, 13, 2022 from 10:00am until service time of 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Zoar Cemetery.
