Lori Jean Allen Bernard was born on Oct. 17, 1970, and went to be reunited with her mother, father, grandmother and sons on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She was a very magnanimous and honest person. She always put everyone before herself. She was quick to make someone smile and laugh. She managed the Baton Rouge Venture terminal and recently discovered her wish to travel. The feel of her and her husband being on the road opened new horizons for the both of them. She is survived by her husband, John N. Bernard; daughters, Kristen DeShea and Kacie Danielle; siblings, Scott Allen, Michael Allen, Jerrad Friday and Kyle Allen; grandchildren, Kathryn H. Dansby, mothered by Kacie Danielle, and a second grandchild mothered by Kristen DeShea; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Services will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, Feb. 2. Doors open at 2 p.m. and service starts at 6:30 p.m.
