Lloyd David Williams

David was preceded in death by his parents Harris Joseph Williams of Baton Rouge, La and Sadie Mae Langlois Williams Cutchen of Spanish Fort, Alabama. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 56 years Susan Budden Williams; son Michael David Williams and wife Holly of Youngsville, La; daughter Shannon Williams Hultberg of Baton Rouge, La, three beloved grandchildren, Catherine Hultberg, Caroline Hultberg and Landon Williams.

He is also survived by his aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family and friends that join in the family’s loss.

David attended Glen Oaks Highschool and graduated from Marion Military Institute in Marion, Alabama. Then, he graduated from Southeastern University in Hammond, La. David was employed for many years in the chemical industry at various plants including Kaiser Aluminum, Orion Refinery, and LaRoche Industries in Gramercy, La. David had been retired for the past 10 years.

David loved fishing, hunting, dancing, riding in the Youngsville Mardi Gras and Three Mile Lake 4th of July Boat parade. He was a man who always put his family first and loved them dearly. David treated others with generosity and kindness. He was always willing to open his home to family and friends in their time of need. He was a “pawpaw” to many of his grandchildren’s friends and loved to teach them how to fish and many life lessons along the way.

David was dearly loved and will be truly missed by his family. His children learned so much from his wisdom, support and guidance through the years. He taught them respect for others, work ethic, and the importance of morals and family values. He was the type of dad who would come in the middle of the night to fix a tire, check a smoke/gas alarm or help hook up a generator. He was simply the best dad and will always be loved and missed.

Services will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church with Father William Schambough officiating. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.; Rosary at 11:30 a.m.; Eulogy and Mass beginning at noon. Burial to follow at Greenoaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
