Linnie Mae Cooper, 82, native of Sabine Parish and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Sunday, Dec. 20, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. Visitation continues at the funeral home Monday, Dec. 21, from 8 a.m. until time of services at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Deacon Esnard Gremillion will be presiding over the services. Linnie is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Juanita and Cliff Hughes, of Dallas, and Bonnie Sue Akins, of Many; two stepsons, Clifton Roby Cooper, of Southhaven, Miss., and Richard Ray Cooper; two sisters, Minnie Mae Campbell, her twin, of Noble, and Bertie Mae Martinez, of Shreveport; brother Melvin Procell, of Noble; grandson, Franklin Treigle Jr., of Allen, Texas; numerous stepgrandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Julio Betancourt III; two brothers, Abraham Procell and Ed Ernest Procell; sister, Mary Agnes Wynne; and former husband, Roby Dale Cooper. Linnie was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church Parish.
