She was born in Hammond, Louisiana, on December 17, 1946, to the late Webb and Gerline Miller. She was raised in Baton Rouge and married Dean Kenyon on December 11, 1976. She was a member of Family of Faith Church in Baton Rouge.
She was a dedicated LSU and Saints fan following them enthusiastically over the years. She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, and loved country music. She was a stage-four lung cancer survivor, living more than thirty years after her first diagnosis. She attributed her survival to her strong faith in Christ and treated each day as a gift. She was a true inspiration to those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Kenyon; parents, Webb and Gerline Miller; and nephew, Brandon Miller.
Linda is survived by her son, Randall Doyle Reed, Jr and his wife Melissa; grandchildren, Roman and Remington Reed; sister, Ann Munson and husband John Wayne; brother Edwin Miller and wife April; a nephew Wayne Munson and wife Monica; and a niece Stacey Stevison and husband Shaad.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 8:30AM until time of funeral service at 10:00AM, conducted by the Rev. Leo Miller. Burial will immediately follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center or the American Cancer Society.
