

Robert “Kevin” Boeneke a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Zachary, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 6, 2012. He was 38 and a pipe fitter by trade. He is survived by his loving mother, Joan Strickland Boeneke; a brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Lori McMorris Boeneke; three uncles and wives, Edward J. “Chip” Jr. and Sandy Strickland, Rudy and Dollie Boeneke, and A.E. “Son” Boeneke; an aunt, Janice Strickland Washington; one uncle-in-law, Roy Greenwood; and three nieces and nephews, Karlyn, Landon and Kade. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, William R. and Pauline Siebert Boeneke, Edward J. Sr. and Norma Strickland; father, Robert R. “Bobby” Boeneke; and two aunts, Elizabeth “Sis” B. Greenwood and Willie Boeneke. Kevin’s hobbies included hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and looking after his parents. He was a wonderful son, brother and friend and will be truly missed for his smile and kindness. He is in a better and more peaceful place free of the illness that he has endured for much of his adult life. Special thanks to Pastor Stan Clark of Zion Lutheran Church for the spiritual guidance he provided Kevin during the last few years of his life. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Saturday, June 9, from 11 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Burial in Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Clinton, LA.
