Kermit Mix Richard

A native and resident of Baton Rouge, Kermit died at her home at 1:50 am on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014. She was 62. Visitation will be at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 15615 Old Jefferson Hwy, on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am celebrated by the Rev. Phil Spano. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by her husband of 43 years, Joseph L. "Joe" Richard, Jr.; two daughters, Rosalind Richard Willard and husband, Samuel Willard, and Rachelle Jene' Richard; two grandchildren, Kendall Ann and Seth Joseph Willard; life long friend, Charlotte Guerin; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kermit Thomas Mix and Dorothy Whitehead Mix; two sisters, Diana Mix Perot and Sharon Mix Theriot. Pallbearers will be Brody Britt, Anthony Richard, Clay Richard, Matt Richard, Rhett Richard, Ryan Richard, Dillon Smiley and Sam Willard.
