Kathleen W Pittman

Kathleen “Kat” W. Pittman, 97, passed away very unexpectedly on Sunday, April 16, 2023. Born in Woodville, MS to the late Hulda and Wilbur Walker, Sr. She was very devoted to her family and her life left giant footprints on our hearts, a void that will be hard to fill. She retired from the Bakery of Albertson's on Florida Blvd and spent her retirement years serving others. She was a long time member of Lanier Baptist Church in Baton Rouge before moving to Walker to be close to family.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan “Sue” Hammond (Wayne); 7 grandchildren, Kenny Hammond (Kim), Kevin Hammond, Chris Blount (Courtney), Brian Blount, Michael Buvens (Jennifer), Jimmy Buvens, and Brady Gatlin; 13 great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Mason, Savannah, Kyle, Caiden, Alexis, Emma, Hayden, Allie, Christian, Aja, Ember, and Graysen; one great-grandchild, Preston; sister, Pearl Carter; brother, Edward Walker (Kat); step-daughter, Patricia Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband and father of Sue, Earl Gatlin, Sr.; children, Earl Gatlin, Jr and Sandra Kay Jones; step-daughter, Merrose Wallace; two brothers; and four sisters.

A visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 11:30 am until funeral service at 2 pm. Burial will be on Monday, April 24, 2023 in Greenoaks Memorial Park Cemetery. Please visit www.greenoaksfunerals.com to leave condolences to the family.
