Juliette “Judy” Babin, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Gonzales, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012 at the age of 83. She retired as an operator from Bell South. She was also an active member of the Telephone Pioneers where she served as secretary for over 20 years. Juliette was also a member of Sacred Heart altar society and UCT. She spent a lot of her time volunteering and doing vast amounts of charity work. She was an amazing step mother, sister and grandmother who will be missed dearly by many. Juliette is survived by her three step daughters, Mary Nell Sanchez and husband Edward, Roseanne Gautreau, and Martha Thomas and husband Richard; one step son, Albert Babin and wife Irene; two sisters, Cecile Williams and her twin, Lucille Reynolds; one brother, Harold Boudreau; 9 step grand children; and 10 step great grand children. She is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Babin; her parents, Charles and Martha Boudreau; her sister, Lela B. Kennedy; her brother, Wilfred Boudreau; and grandson Jeremy Rafferty. Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Saturday from 9am until mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Albert Babin, Chris Babin, Brian Babin, James Babin, David Babin, and Russell Williams. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Nicholas Campo, The Care Center nurses and staff, and Life Source Hospice; a special thanks to her loving neighbors.
