Joyce Ann Cangelosi Landry, born May 13, 1939, in Baton Rouge, LA, left this earth to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 6, 2025, just a few weeks short of her 86th birthday. She was known by many names in her extensive family: Mom, Momo, Mimi, Nanny, and even “favorite mother-in-law.” A devout Catholic, Joyce rarely missed a mass at Baton Rouge church parishes over her lifetime. She and her sisters would also trek to St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans for special occasions. Faith and family were two foundational characteristics of her life. In addition to frequent mass, Joyce loved hosting her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren at her home for lunch every Sunday. In October 1958, she married the love of her life, Ray Edward Landry, Sr., with whom she had four children, Ray Landry, Jr. (Lisa), Ricky Landry, Darlene Campbell (Kevin), and Stacey Baham. Joyce is survived by her four children; grandchildren, Rachel Chulakham, Sarah Buras, Christopher Landry, Ricky Landry, Jr., Tucker Campbell, Brittany Anthony, and Anthony Baham; great-grandchildren, Graeme Buras, Euan Buras, Curtis Anthony, AnnMarie Anthony, Beckham Baham, Jackson Baham, and Austin Kate Baham; sister, Rita Robert (Charles); brother, Carlo Cangelosi (Shannon); and a host of other family members. Joyce is preceded in death by her husband of almost 49 years, Ray Edward Landry, Sr.; parents, Anthony P. Cangelosi, Sr. and Vernice Anderson Cangelosi; sister, Dolores Roberts; brothers, Samuel John “S.J.” Cangelosi, Anthony Cangelosi, Jr., and Marion Al Cangelosi. Visitation will be at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11441 Goodwood Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Monday, April 14, 2025, from 9:15am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to sign the online guestbook at www.greenoaksfunerals.com
