Josephine "Phyne" Miceli Arnone

Arnone, Josephine “Phyne” Rae Miceli, 72, a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Greenwell Springs, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Phyne loved to quilt and sew. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and a 40 year member of the Louisiana Volunteers for Family and Community. She is survived by her husband of 53 years Vincent J. Arnone; father Sam J. Miceli; children: Michael Arnone, Jerrell and Teresa Arnone, Paul David Arnone, Donna and Alan Montagnino, and Randall and Dena Arnone; grandchildren: Nicholas Wroten, Justin Arnone, Vincent Joseph and Alaina Montagnino, Joshua Arnone, and Brock and Cade Primeaux; and sister Mary Lee Aycock. She is preceded in death by her mother Mamie Carona Miceli. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Greenoaks Funeral Home from 5pm until 9pm and continuing on Monday, April 23, 2012 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church from 9:30am until a mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Dr. Stagg and Dr. Russell and their staff and St. Joseph Hospice for their love and attention to Phyne. Donations may be made in Phyne’s honor to the St. Joseph Hospice Foundation.
