Joseph Dwain LaMotte

Joseph Dwain LaMotte, September 14, 1954–June 19, 2021. Joseph LaMotte, a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was born the youngest of five children to the late Milton Joseph LaMotte and Elaine Boutte LaMotte on September 14, 1954. Joseph was united in marriage to Denise Hayes in 1975 and to this union three daughters were born–Iyanna Shawntel, Shira Donyell and Shayla Lynnell. Following in his father's footsteps as a skilled painter, Joseph worked as a commercial painting superintendent serving Houston, Texas and surrounding areas for thirty-six years. On Saturday, June 19, 2021, at the age of 66, Joseph made his transition to his new home in the comfort of his loved ones. Joseph's life celebration takes place on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 2:00pm. Religious Services will be held at Green Oaks Memorial Park in the Garden View Mausoleum, located at 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, 70815. Joseph will long be remembered for his playful demeanor and devotion to his wife, children, family and many others he cherished. The family asks that attendees please honor social distancing and wear masks throughout the service.
