Joseph Albert Bergeron

Joseph Albert Bergeron, 66, of New Roads, LA. passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022. Albert was born May 2, 1956 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was a lover of the outdoors, an avid traveler, Bigfoot enthusiast and a member of the YYR camping group. Albert never missed a chance to spend time with his grandchildren, who lovingly called him Papa! He was a wonderful cook who would share his love of cooking with family and friends.

Albert is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Jackie Hogan Bergeron, four children; Courtney Bergeron Holcomb (Alan) of Tupelo, MS., Ashley Bergeron Bayoumi (Aiman) of New Roads, LA., Ross Bergeron, and Huey Bergeron, five grandchildren; Mackenzie Holcomb, Savannah Holcomb, Alaina Holcomb, Liam Bayoumi, and Eli Bayoumi, and three siblings; Gloria Cedotal, Don Bergeron (Donna), Doug Bergeron (Tammy), and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Melanie Bergeron; parents Kirby and Polly Bergeron, sister; Lyndia Wall.

A memorial mass for Albert will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 12:00 PM at St. Mary of False River, 348 W Main St, New Roads, LA. 70760, followed by a bereavement luncheon in the parish hall.
