John William Williams was born in Norwood, LA, on April 4, 1932, and he passed away in his longtime home of Baton Rouge on Monday, October 10, 2022, after 90 fulfilled years. John graduated from Catholic High in 1950 and served in the Korean War with the U.S. Air Force from 1950-1955. He graduated from LSU with a BS in chemical engineering and later also earned an MBA from LSU. John was a member of Parkview Baptist Church, the Rotary Club, and the Chem-Engineering Society. He worked for Copolymer since 1960 and retired in 1991, with 32 years of service. John enjoyed reading, tinkering, traveling, woodworking, and bass fishing, but he loved spending time with his family most of all. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Williams; three sons, Britt Williams (Bridget), Scott, and Trey (Dawn); and 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Katherine Williams. A graveside service will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park on Thursday, October 13, at 1 pm.
