A native and resident of Baton Rouge passed away on December 9th at the age of 80. A retired employee of Exxon, Gayle was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed time with his wife of 58 years gambling on the coast, shopping, and family and holiday gatherings with the Hernandez family. Gayle loved animals, had a strong sense of family, and took pride in caring for his in-laws, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. He was an avid LSU sports and New Orleans Saints fan. If they were playing he was watching! He is survived by his wife Ginger Hernandez McAndrew; children, Robin Tuminello (Kenneth), John G. McAndrew, Jr. (Pamela), and Bryan McAndrew (Robin); grandchildren Kyle, Erin,&Doug Tuminello, Melissa, Johnny,&Audrey McAndrew, and one 4-legged granddog named Maisy; 5 great-grandchildren; and brother, Thomas Cole McAndrew. He is preceded in death by his parents Willard&Viola Bergeron McAndrew; brother Willard McAndrew, Jr., and sister Coleen McAndrew. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 11th at Rabenhorst Funeral Home (825 Government Street in Baton Rouge) from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, December 12th at the funeral home at 9:00 AM until Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
