John Richard “Rick” Fauver, 75, a beloved Husband, Brother, and Uncle, resident of Baton Rouge, LA, was called Home on Sunday, May 22, 2022. He was a boilermaker for 12 years and a retiree of Enterprise Transportation Co. He served his country in the US Air Force for 8 years and was a member of VFW and Military Order of the Cooties.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Connie Simon Fauver; brother, Dalton Curtis Fauver (Jenny) two sisters, Peggy Schexnayder and Nancy Smith (Steve); sister in laws, Sandra and Lorraine Fauver, brother in law; Rene Simon Jr (Sandra), and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother; Virgie Stokes Price, step-father; Charlie Price; father, Vance Fauver Sr., brothers; Vance Fauver Jr. and Leon Fauver, mother-in-law, Virginia Simmons (William), father-in-law, Rene Simon Sr; brother-in-law, Mike Schexnayder; sister-in-law, Marcia Balcom, nephews; JJ Trotter, Luke Fauver, Mitch Richard, Ryan Simon, and Jeff Simon.
A visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, La, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, May 27, 2022, with VFW Memorial Services at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, May 28, 2022, with a Funeral Service honoring Rick's life at 2:00 PM. A graveside service and burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. A reception will follow at the Greenoaks Reception Center.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Schexnayder, Brian Richard, Neal Fauver, Justin Wilkewitz, Jared LeBlanc, and David Valega. Honorary pall bearers will be Carson LeBlanc, Jude Wilkewitz, Luke Wilkewitz, and Cameron LeBlanc.
