John David Amoroso

After a lengthy and courageous battle John David Amoroso, age 60, a native of Baton Rouge passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 36 years Diane Amoroso. Also survived by his adoring mother Janet M Davison, sisters Ramona A. LeBeouf (Collins) and Rhonda A. Fillman (Jim), brothers Nick Amoroso (Kelly), Michael Amoroso (Marcia), Brian Amoroso (Cheryl), Bruce Amoroso (Christy), and Brad Amoroso (Megan). Also survived by his uncles Ronnie Amoroso and Jerry Amoroso (Alice), and aunts Barbara Cazes, Carole Almond, mother in law Dot Hemphill and sister in law Donna Kunstler (Jak), numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins, and friends. Also his extended family from Star Service. David was a loving and kind person to everyone who knew him. His heart was full of love for his family and friends. He was always smiling and had a heart of gold. A memorial service will be held at Green Oaks Funeral Home on Friday evening, November 28, 2014 from 5pm to 9pm. David is preceded in death by his father Nicholas John Amoroso Sr., his grandparents Jack and Zita Davison, and Tony and Annie Amoroso, uncle Tony (PJ) Amoroso and father in law Don Hemphill. David was a founding member of APAWS, active in rescue, and adored his pets. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to APAWS or Carpenter House.
