Jean Arnold Gilliam

Jean Arnold Gilliam passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023, at the age of 93. She was a native of Tickfaw, LA, and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Jean and her husband, Edward “Ed”, were active members of Parkview Baptist Church. They were owner/operators of a Baton Rouge retail/seafood business for over 30 years. In retirement, she loved traveling with Ed, fishing, and playing golf. Jean is survived by her children, Ronald “Ronnie” K. Woodward (Suzie), Edward “Bo” D. Gilliam, Jr. (Cindy), Richard D. Woodward, Edwin K. Gilliam, Ronald C. Gilliam (Christine), Kathy A. Gill (Steve), Marsha A. Dufour; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Camile Menzie; and a host of other family members. Jean is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Edward “Ed” Desmond Gilliam, Sr.; daughter, Judy L. Woodward; son, David A. Woodward; grandsons, Jonathan Gilliam and Ronald Clay Gilliam; and parents, Edwin and Gladys Arnold. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 10am until the time of funeral services at 11am. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA.
